After just three days back in Toronto I've left it again. As you might guess from the photo I was happy to escape again.
It was snowing on the way to the airport and we were late leaving because they had to de-ice the plane. No snow here in Seattle just misty drizzle. I will make an attempt to keep you up to date with my adventures here on the coast
I am going to Microsoft to talk about Fat this afternoon.
I hope they don't find out I am an Apple girl!

Hi,
We enjoyed the books even very much.
I wrote a post about the evening, here: http://www.familyfriendlyfood.com/2008/11/enjoy-your-fat.html

Are you really going to write a book about skin or was it a joke?
Nurit
Well skin was a joke. I've pretty much exhausted my skin recipes with pork and duck crackings but I do have another idea for a book. At the moment I have to concentrate on selling Fat!
It reminds me of when I tried to crisp some lamb skin when I worked in a restaurant, because they never use bacon (Greek rest., Vios, Seattle. Greta place! Try it out next time you're in town).
Good luck with your book. I only managed to sneak a few picks now and then (working like crazy on my blogs), mainly the first few pages and some about chicken. I remember my grandma redering chicken fat and adding it to mashed potatoes. oh, it was so good. Good luck with it!
